Happy Spring from the SFFMA!

The first quarter of 2026 has been busy for SFFMA, and we want to share a few highlights with our members.

Since January, we have also added a new Membership staff member and are currently in the process of hiring a new Certification Assistant to better serve our members.

Spring District updates.

Spring District Meetings are underway across the state, giving members opportunities to hear updates, meet leadership, and discuss important fire service issues. Several committees have also been active, including Health & Safety, Certification, Firefighter of the Year, and Conference planning groups.

Upcoming Events & Important Dates

Planning continues for the 2026 Annual Conference. This year also marks SFFMA’s 150th Anniversary, with exciting projects underway such as a commemorative challenge coin and a 150th Anniversary Yearbook. Fire departments across Texas are encouraged to submit photos and short stories for inclusion.
