Associations and Organizations

Texas Association of Fire Educators: The mission of TAFE is to promote education in the fire service in the state of Texas, to provide fire educators with training resources and educational support, and to host state and regional conferences for the advancement of fire education.

Texas Chapter of the International Association of Arson Investigators: The goals of IAAI are to: unite for the mutual benefit of those engaged in the control of arson and kindred crimes; provide for the exchange of technical information and development; encourage high professional standards of conduct among arson investigators; and to continually strive to eliminate all factors which interfere with the administration of justice.

Texas Fire Chiefs Association: TFCA believes in serving the citizens of Texas by actively participating in the advancement of the fire service through positive leadership, the sharing of information, and active legislative involvement, while maintaining the highest ethical and professional standards.

Texas Fire Marshals’ Association: TXFMA encourages high professional standards of conduct among fire marshals, and continually strives to eliminate all factors which interfere with administration of fire prevention.

Texas State Association of Fire and Emergency Districts: SAFE-D strives to make Texans safer by supporting the men and women of emergency services districts (ESD’s) in the state. The goal is to bring local governments together so they can work smarter and work better for Texans.

Texas State Association of Firefighters: TSAFF is committed to unifying Texas professional firefighters, promoting their interests, pass legislation on their behalf, defeat legislation harmful to them, provide necessary service to member locals, and to establish the right of every Texas professional firefighter to bargain collectively and work under a contract.

Texas Line of Duty Death Task Force: The mission of the task force response team to provide excellent, compassionate, and immediate care to those who have been injured in the line of duty, to the families of those who have died in the line of duty, and to departments that have suffered a line of duty injury or death of one of its members.
