This a joint venture with Jesse Slaughter from Granbury Volunteer Fire Department (he’s also one of the hosts of the It tastes Like Burning Podcast) and our Marketing Director, Kim Hilsenbeck.

Offered free to SFFMA members, this half-day marketing course provides departments with actionable ways to engage, recruit and retain volunteers, tips on additional revenue streams for those departments that don't receive much funding, using the power of public relations, and how to handle an emergency/disaster situation relative to communicating with the public and the media. Much of the class focuses on using social media.
