SFFMA SAFER Grant 4 - AD&D RFP - December 2025
Description:
The State Firefighters’ and Fire Marshals’ Association of Texas (SFFMA) has been awarded SAFER grant funding to provide all active Texas Volunteer Emergency Responders with insurance benefits for a 4-year period. This SAFER Grant is provided through the Department of Homeland Security.
This Grant was awarded as an incentive to potential recruits to join volunteer and combination departments and to retain existing Volunteer Emergency Responders. This Grant will provide the following insurance benefits to these Volunteers that are enrolled by their Chief:
1) Accident/Injury insurance and disability (loss of wages) protection
2) Accidental Death and Dismemberment (AD&D) insurance.
This coverage is intended to be provided to every active Texas Volunteer Emergency Responder while participating in their duties as a Volunteer.
