Junior Programs

Many volunteer fire departments across Texas have individuals between ages 14 and 17 who are active members of their department. Although these individuals cannot yet officially participate in the SFFMA certification program, the department can still track and record their training through the SFFMA online training module.

**Please note that the $25 junior membership does not include any insurance coverage.**

As with any person entered into the SFFMA online system, the birth date of the individual will be captured. The system will recognize that the individual is under 18 years of age and will not address an annual SFFMA membership fee at that point. His or her training can then be recorded with everyone else at the department.

When the individual turns 18, the system will recognize the them as eligible for SFFMA membership and allow a membership dues invoice to be generated and paid.

Once an SFFMA member, your young fire department member is now eligible to gain any and all certifications offered by SFFMA!
